The search is on for yet another escaped prisoner in less than a week.

This time the Coast Guard was called in to assist in the search for an inmate gone missing from the Carrera Island Prison.

CNews understands Unil Phillip who was serving 6 years hard labour at the prison for possession of a firearm was discovered missing just after 3pm on Wednesday.

We're told the Coast Guard was called in sometime just before 4pm when the search on the island failed to bring up the prisoner.

This is the latest of 3 prison breaks.

The first was accused Fraudster Vicky Boodram. She escaped from the Women's Prison in Golden Grove, Arouca on November 28th. She was awaiting trial.

Over the weekend Police in Tobago had to launch a search for 25-year-old Samuel Maraj. He broke out of the Scarborough Police Station.

Both he and Boodram have since been recaptured.
