The Ministry of health is aiming to get 70,000 people vaccinated for the flu.

This was announced by Chief Medical Officer Roshan Parasram at the launch of the 2018  Flu Vaccination Drive at the George Street Health Centre.

He said the Ministry of Health hopes to improve on its drive in 2017, the aim of which is to have no flu-related deaths in the country.

The flu shot will be available at all health centres.

The Chief Medical Officer explained, however, the vaccines were not the only way to increase immunization from the flu.
