Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has confirmed that misinformation was fed to the Port Authority concerning the purchase of the Cabo Star and the Ocean Flower 2.

Dr. Rowley made the statement in Parliament during the question and answer session Wednesday morning.

The Prime Minister was asked to state the recommendations of the Mouttet investigation into the purchase of the Cabo Star and Ocean Flower 2 and how it helped change the situation.

But he said the findings in the report, as well as the other failings in the procurement of a vessel for the Seabridge, contributed to the establishment of a cabinet committee to obtain a new ferry for Tobago.

He said, however, it was too soon to say if the Port Authority Board would be fired.
