Prison Officer Home Fired Upon, Daughter Injured

The home of a Prison Officer was shot at and his daughter was injured.

According to information from the Prisons Administration at around 8:22PM shots were fired at the Jerningham Avenue home of Officer Nigel Daniel, who is attached to the Port of Spain Prison.

His daughter was injured in the attack but her injury was not fatal.

The release stated that immediately upon receipt of the information the Prisons Administration contacted Officer Daniel and arrangements were made to relocate him to an undisclosed location.

The Prisons Administration asked Officers to exercise discretion and to be extremely mindful of what they release on social media as they were unaware of Officer Daniel being under any threat.
