Police Arrest 30 Illegal Immigrants In Woodbrook

Thirty illegal immigrants were arrested in Woodbrook following a Police exercise on Friday.

A collaborative anti-crime exercise was conducted by a team of Task Force Police Officers, City Police Officers as well as Traffic Wardens, Licensing Officers and Immigration Officers. They arrested 30 people who failed to produce legitimate documents to justify their stay in Trinidad.

Many of those arrested had been working within the Woodbrook area. 

Also during the exercise 66 people were ticketed for traffic offences while one person was arrested for driving under the influence.

Eight people were arrested for possession of illegal drugs.
