The Sandals project for Tobago has incurred some setbacks, according to Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley.

During Friday's sitting he was asked to give an update on the project.

He said currently, Government is at the stage where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Sandals where they have agreed to brand and run the hotel, once a facility is made available.

Initially, Government was anticipating greater urgency, but the setbacks slowed down the process.

He said Sandals is currently engaged in six different projects, and T&T is not high up on that list.
