Savile Row, located in Central London, has been unofficially dubbed the most famous suiting street, and is home to master tailors such as Alexander McQueen and Huntsman.
The initiative is as a result of the collaboration of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, FashionTT, its parent company, CreativeTT, MIC, and the Savile Row Academy.
The one-year certificate programme will focus on bespoke tailoring, pattern drafting, cutting and fitting.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative on Wednesday, Director of Creative TT, Dionne Mc Nichol, says the programme comes in good timing, as recent research in fashion has seen an increasing popularity in men's fashion.
Trade Minister, Paula Gopee-Scoon, said the initiative is a move in the right direction, where diversification is concerned.
