Parents of students attending the San Fernando Methodist School continue to call for the removal of a teacher at the school.

It’s alleged the teacher was charged with sexual molestation of a student. While the parents do not want to presume innocence or guilt, they say they cannot have the teacher around the children.

On Thursday, they staged a protest outside the school to highlight their plight.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education issued a statement saying the decision to remove the teacher lies in the hands of the Teaching Service Commission.

The parents want the body to act, or they say they will protest outside its office.
