No Privileges Committee For PM Rowley

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bridgid Annisette-George, has ruled that Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley did not breach the privileges of the House.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar raised a Motion of Privilege against the Prime Minister on September 29th for statements he made during a public forum on September 16th.

Mrs. Annisette-George said she did not find a prima facie case for breach of privilege.

According to reports, during a Health Fair at the Diego Martin Boys RC School on September 16th, the Prime Rowley said he did not knowingly associate with crooks except in Parliament.
