In an odd turn of events, members of the Public Services Association are expected to protest against PSA President Watson Duke at 5pm on Thursday.

In a release sent out by Jean Edwards on behalf of Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union President Vincent Cabrera, it was said that workers will be picketing the offices of the PSA in protest against the treatment meted out to them by Mr. Duke.

The release said workers are discontent in relation to a number of issues but their main concern has to do with the PSA Pension Plan.

They claim the Pension Plan is under-funded to the tune of over $2 million and no actuarial review has been done for a number of years.

The workers are represented by the Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union. The release states a request from the union to discuss the pension matter has been denied by Mr. Duke, whose response has been to postpone any meeting with BIGWU until after PSA elections.
