President of the Public Services Association, Watson Duke, is insisting that workers of Customs and Excise and the Board of Inland Revenue take holidays on Thursday and Friday.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Finance reminded workers that the 9th and 10th of November are normal working days, unless they are ill or have been granted approval for casual days.

Mr. Duke, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, again called on the public servants to stay away from work on Thursday and Friday in protest of Government's intention to transition to the Revenue Authority.

The PSA President called on the Minister of Finance to meet with the union and have fair consultation on the proposed terms of employment and conditions of service under the planned Revenue Authority.
