Prime Minister Tells Karim Stay Out Of PNM Business

Former Tertiary Education Minister Fazal Karim's criticism of job cuts to come at the University of Trinidad and Tobago is not sitting well with the Prime Minister. 

UTT Chairman Professor Kenneth Julien informed staff of the decision via a memorandum on Wednesday saying it had become necessary due to severe financial constraints and a reduction in its budget allocation.

Responding to this development Mr. Karim described the action as uncaring.

But Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is wondering why the former Minister is concerning himself with UTT business when the Opposition was against the PNM's establishment of UTT in the first place.
