New Water Quality Monitoring Initiative

An initiative has been implemented to monitor the quality of water in Trinidad and Tobago.

A water quality monitoring buoy was deployed in the Gulf of Paria off the Claxton Bay area last Wednesday, October 25th.

Deputy Director of the IMA’s Research Unit, Dr. Rahanna Juman, noted the benefits of the quality monitoring buoy which will detect oil spills, fish kills, and other marine environmental incidents.
