Indentureship Cannot Be Compared To The Hardships Of Slavery

Historian, Professor Brinsley Samaroo, says there's a general misconception regarding the history of East Indians in Trinidad and Tobago, particularly around the period of indentureship.

Speaking at a Public Lecture at the NALIS Library in Port of Spain on Wednesday evening, the retired UWI Lecturer said the date for the end of indentureship was believed by many to be 1917, but he explained it in fact ended later.
