The Mayor of Arima, Lisa Morris-Julian, is fuming amid reports that a bar in Calvary Hill was provided with water from a WASA truck for a bikini car wash event, while residents in the area have been without water for close to three weeks.

The Mayor raised the issue during the Arima Borough Council meeting on Tuesday.

The Mayor said the Councillor for Calvary Hill has been confronted regularly by residents on the water shortage.

She said she would be writing the Minister of Public Utilities concerning the matter.

C News contacted Corporate Communications Manager of WASA, Daniel Plenty, who said the matter would be investigated.
