Food Card Programme To Be Restructured - Suggestion For Recipients To Purchase Local Goods Only

With the Food Card Programme currently under review for restructuring, a suggestion is being made for the new model to find some way to limit the amount of foreign goods that can be purchased, in an attempt to save on foreign exchange.

The suggestion came during a Joint Select Committee Inquiry into the Programme on Wednesday.
