Man Shot Dead In Cocorite, Another Found Dead In San Fernando

One man is dead following a shooting incident in Cocorite.

According to reports, at around 6pm on Sunday, Sayeed Callender was near his Cocorite Terrace home with friends when he was confronted by two men.

The men revealed they were armed and attacked him.

He was stabbed in the neck and shot several times.

His attackers fled on foot.

Twenty one year old Callender was taken to hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

This incident takes the murder toll to 404.

In a separate matter, the body of man was found in San Fernando on Monday morning.

C News understands the man was found face down in a drain along Lady Hailes Avenue near Embacadere.

He was clad in a plaid three quarter pants.

The cause of death is at this moment unclear, but officers from the Southern Homicide Bureau are conducting inquiries into the incident.
