President of the Independent Fishermen Union of Trinidad and Tobago (IFUTT), Robert Sagramsingh says he is considering legal options following his ban from the Parliament.

Sagramsingh along with Maxine Gonzales were banned from the parliament building after this outburst during a contribution by Minister in the Ministry of Finance Alyson West.

In a release on Saturday, Mr Sagramsingh called the ban 'a blow to democracy.'

C News spoke with Sagramsingh about the issue in a phone interview. He says he had been hoping to get answers concerning the decision to raise fuel prices and if an assessment would have been done to the wider impact of the change on fishermen and other members of society.

Members Clubs and Lottery Workers Union spokesperson Maxine Gonzales was not available when CNews attempted to contact her.

However, we have learnt that she too would consider a legal challenge to the ban.
