AG Warns T&T Could Be Blacklisted For Tax Non-Compliance

Attorney General, Faris Al-Rawi, says Trinidad and Tobago stands the risk of being blacklisted on the world stage if it fails to satisfactorily implement agreed tax transparency standards in accordance with the Global Forum.

In 2011, this country joined the Global Forum which addresses the risks to tax compliance posed by non-cooperative jurisdictions.

Six years later, however, Mr. Al-Rawi says this country is not considered as having made sufficient progress towards satisfactory implementation of the standards.
