Farmers Affected By Tropical Storm Bret To Receive Relief Funds

Minister of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries Clarence Rambharat will be handing out cheques to farmers affected by the passing of Tropical Storm Bret in June.

The distribution of the cheques will take place at the Ministry's Head Office in Chaguanas on Friday afternoon.

Minister Rambharat told reporters at a press conference on Thursday that his Ministry would take 12 million dollars out of the 20 million dollars allocated for relief from Tropical Storm Bret to pay the farmers.

He explained how this money would be shared.
