New Community Centre For La Pastora

Residents braved the rain and flood in Santa Cruz on Tuesday afternoon to be part of the Sod Turning Ceremony for the new La Pastora Community Centre.

The current Community Centre was the venue for the Ceremony. However, attendees had some challenges as the roof did not do much to prevent the water from coming in.

Minister of Community Development, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, drew a parallel between the effort to be present at the Ceremony and the plight of the residents.

She also stressed the need for the new Community Centre as several groups try to make do with the current structure, despite the conditions.
