Auditing firm, KPMG, has been awarded the contract to recruit and select a new Police Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of Police.

This follows a meeting between representatives of the Police Service Commission and KPMG on July 20th to discuss implementation of the project.

The PSC says the recruitment phase of the project is expected to take four months to complete with the firm providing support to the Commission in designing and managing the advertising, application and assessment processes.

The PSC says this is to ensure the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has the leadership it requires to meet the needs of the organisation and to satisfy the requirements of safety and security for all of Trinidad and Tobago now and into the future.
