PDP Speaks Out Against Domestic Violence

Forensic Psychologist and Mental Health Officer, Alicia Roberts Patterson, is speaking out on violence against women in light of the murder of Tobago midwife Crystal Tobias on Monday.

Mrs. Roberts-Patterson is the PDP's Candidate for the Bethel/Mt. Irvine constituency and currently works under the Tobago Regional Health Authority.

She said the news of Tobias' passing rocked the staff at the Scarborough General Hospital.

The PDP has offered to assist the family of Crystal Tobias where necessary.

Ms. Tobias, a midwife at the Scarborough General Hospital, was stabbed to death at her home on Monday.

A close relative was held and remains in police custody in connection with the incident.
