17 graduate from Life Skills program at Women's Prison

17 women have graduated from the Life Skills program at the Women’s Prison at the Women's Prison in Golden Grove, Arouca.

 

The programme a collaboration between the Prison Services and New Horizon Ministries saw facilitators entering the system and working with the women.

 

During the graduation ceremony the women showed off their talent by serenading the guests, while speaker Peter Felix encouraged them to overcome their current situation since it does not have to be their final act in life.

 

The programme is part of the service's initiative to prepare the inmates for re entry into society.
