T&T gets 2 Honorary Awards at CTO Travel Media Awards

Trinidad and Tobago has secured two honorary awards at this year's Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Travel Media Awards.

The awardees are Sharon Millar, author of Mermen Come Calling, and Lifestyle blogger Rachelle Hay, who is responsible for the piece Salt and Shimmer: Down the Islands.

The awards were accepted by Minister of Tourism Shamfa Cudjoe during the Caribbean Week celebrations held in New York on June 2nd.

Minister Cudjoe congratulated the two female journalists, thanking for them for what she described as "evoking and bringing to life important aspects of Trinidad and Tobago's lifestyle and tourism product."

The two pieces were among four entries from Trinidad and Tobago which were shortlisted for awards.
