Sangre Grande man charged with assault following circulation of viral video

HAYZE HAMILTON, age 52, appeared in the Sangre Grande 1st Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 7th June, 2016, charged with the assault of two minors.

The charges follow investigations based on a video that went viral on social media which allegedly depicted two children being abused at the hands of an adult male.

Hamilton, of Poui Avenue, Northern Eastern Settlement, Sangre Grande, appeared before Senior Magistrate Debra Quintyne after being charged with one count of assault and one count of the willful assault of a child on Monday 6th June, 2016, by WPC Debra Brooks.

Hamilton was granted bail in the sum of $40, 000 and the matter was postponed to July 5th, 2016.
