Taxi Driver charged with murder of Taxi Driver

An Arouca taxi driver, Lee Lopez, appeared today before Arima Magistrate Debby-Ann Bassaw charged with the murder of fellow taxi driver, DAVID DELANCEY, on June 6th, 2016. The matter was postponed to June 17th, 2016.

Lopez, 31, resided at First Street, Five Rivers Arouca while the victim, 49, lived at light pole 51, Davis Street Kandahar, Cane Farm, Tacarigua.

Mr. Delancey’s body was found with multiple stab wounds on the trunk of his vehicle at St Clair Branch Road, Arouca.

PC Larry Mc Queen of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations laid the charge on, Friday 10th June, 2016, after receiving instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution, Roger Gaspard.
