Mark Edghill, managing director/broker at Key West Real Estate, speaks about the impact that the reimplementation of property taxes could have on the local real estate market. Edghill, who is the Vice President of the Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA), said it is important that property owners and sellers understand the property tax legislation and the impact that fraud could have on them.

Omar Moreno is a Trinidad and Tobago national, who grew up in Venezuela; he sat down with Ria Roopchandsingh to give some insight into the current social and political climate in that country. Over the last few weeks, there have been demonstrations against President Nicolas Maduro's government. Venezuelan’s inflation rate is set to hit 720% this year according to the International Monetary Fund, and there have been food shortages and widespread civil unrest in several parts of the country.

He explained that while the MSJ understands the need for the tax and supports it, Government needs to be more transparent if the except persons to comply. Wame Mosime, the Director of Global Programs & Advocacy at the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC), speaks to Good Morning Trinidad and Tobago host Ria Roopchandsingh about the development of treatment programs for HIV/AIDS. Together with ITPC’s global program staff, Wame develops advocacy strategies for communities of people living with HIV across the globe. Before joining ITPC, she led HIV projects funded by USAID / PEPFAR, DFID, and EU, and has worked on health-related programming from Africa, Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. She served as a key program manager for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance in the Caribbean, based in Trinidad and Tobago for several years.
