The deadline to file Property Tax Valuation Return Forms has been extended by two weeks; the On the Job Training Programme is not closing down; and chess enthusiasts are in for the opportunity of a lifetime as the TT Chess Association will be hosting a FIDE Trainers' Seminar from May 19th to 21st, 2017.

As government moves ahead with plans to construct a 70 million dollar agro-processing and light industrial plant in Moruga, the Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon says the project should be completed within 26 months.

Speaking at a public meeting in that constituency on Wednesday evening, she explained the benefits of the facility.

Each facility will vary in size but all will be equipped with the recommended infrastructure.

Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles has apologized to Tobagonians for the problems facing them when it comes to the sea bridge, and has assured plans are afoot to deal with them.
 
He acknowledged the issue started with the transition from the Super-Fast Galicia to the barge and ferry to transport goods to Tobago. 
 
Mr. Charles was speaking during an address to Tobagonians on Wednesday night.
