Guaya United - TT Super League Winners

League leaders Guaya United picked up the first major trophy on offer in the TT Super League so far when they turned back a spirited Prisons outfit to lift the coveted league cup.

Minister Young had urged those commenting on the postponement of the Prime Minister's visit to China not to comment without knowing the facts.

Speed Limit Bill To Be Debated In Senate

The Bill to increase the speed limit from 80 kilometres per hour to 100 kilometres per hour will now go before the Senate.

The Amendment to the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act 2017 was passed in the Lower House on Friday with support from the Opposition.

Attorney General Faris Al Rawi said the Engineering Division of the Ministry of Works took a scientific and data-driven approach in making the recommendations.

There are more speed guns available on the nation’s roads, this in light of the proposed increase in the speed limit from 80 KMPH to 100KMPH.

This was revealed by the Minister of Transport Rohan Sinanan at Arrive Alive's UN Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims.

Belmont East Councillor Darryl Rajpaul Dies

The Local Government Councillor for Belmont East, Darryl Rajpaul, died after suffering a heart attack during a football game on Saturday afternoon.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Guard and Emergency Branch hosted its annual Health Beat Run and Walk at the Nelson Mandela Park on Saturday.

The event culminated in a 5k race.

Attorney General Faris Al Rawi says there are millions of dollars worth of bribes being transacted at Licensing Offices each month, an action he says must be stopped.
