The Bagatelle Dutty Camp's Mudern Mud Mas Band

Around this time of the year in Trinidad and Tobago, many masqueraders are engaged in adding the final touches to their costumes at the various mas camps across the country.

This is oftentimes the case where the conventional mas bands are concerned.

But there's a special band that appears on the streets of Tobago on Carnival Tuesday evening.

This band, the Mud Mas Band, brings the curtains down on the Carnival celebrations on the island.

Tobago Reporter Patricia Nicholson spoke to two of the men behind one of these bands for an insight into their preparations for the road.
