As C News travels the country, we often find unique and touching stories of people trying to make a difference in their communities, usually with little or no funding.

On their journeys covering various stories, Roger Dwarika and his Cameraman Ricky Gokool came across a mother and daughter in Embacadere in San Fernando who, for 30 years, have been putting on an annual Emancipation show featuring young people from the area.

Due to a lack of substantial public funding, they've often dipped into their own pockets to meet the annual $30,000 cost for hosting the event. View the Report
