Non-profit organisation Friends of Nelson Street (FONS) will be hosting a concert entitled "Culture at its Best" at City Hall on October 2nd, 2016. The organisation intends to use the proceeds from the concert to treat the children of Nelson Street for Christmas. FONS spokesperson Sharon Dos Santos says the organisation was formed to minimize the negative stigma attached to the area and focuses on assisting the children in the area.
