Pharmacy Board President on CDAP Drugs & the Public Health in T&T

President of the Pharmacy Board, Andrew Rahaman, speaks with Good Morning Trinidad and Tobago host Ria Roopchandsingh about the recent issues raised with regards to prescription drugs in Trinidad and Tobago.

Recently Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh raised questions about the effectiveness of some of the drugs used locally for diabetes and hypertension. Rahaman says continuous testing of medications must be carried out to ensure sub-standard or counterfeit drugs are not being sold or supplied locally. Rahaman said these drugs often enter the country due to the emergence of generic medicines in the system.
