BATT Comments on Fees & Service Charges

Anya Schnoor, the President of the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BATT), and BATT’s Treasurer Karen Darbasie speak to Good Morning Trinidad and Tobago host Ria Roopchandsingh about Fees and Service Charges and their impact on the profits of local banks.

Recently members of BATT appeared before a Joint Select Committee of Parliament, where an inquiry into commercial banking fees was done. During the JSC and our interview, BATT officials dispelled the notion that price fixing exists within the local banking. The organisation’s president also used the interview to urge members of the business groups, who called for a boycott of banks and credit card services, to meet with BATT.
