Arjoon: Lack Of Responsible Spending Also Contributed To Downgrades

The recent downgrades by Standard and Poor’s, and Moody’s cannot be attributed only to the decline in the energy sector but also to the “lack of responsible spending over the last decade.” This from Economist Vaalmiki Arjoon. As for his thoughts on the property tax he says taxes are not necessarily bad but citizens do expect value for their money which has not always been the case in years gone by.
