Springer: We Must Remember the History behind Canboulay

The 1881 Canboulay Riots will be re-enacted on the streets of Port of Spain in the form of a play ¬” Kambule” at four o’ clock tomorrow ¬morning at -Piccadilly Greens. The Canboulay re-enactment, which many consider the beginning the official start of Carnival celebrations, will see scores of spectators coming into Port of Spain. Good Morning Trinidad and Tobago spoke to writer and activist Attillah Springer about the importance of the event.
