Ramkhelawan: Impact of Higher Oil Prices Will Not Be Immediate

Economist Subhas Ramkhelawan says it will take a while for Trinidad and Tobago to see any benefit from the recent increase in oil prices. Last month Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries implemented measures, which have seen the oil price rise over $50 a barrel, but the economist says don’t expect an immediate upturn. Ramkhelawan also spoke about the current state of the economy, diversification, and other economic issues.
