(GMTT) T&T Farmers Union Says More Concern & Protection Needed For Local Farmers

Speaking on the issue of frozen duck from Suriname being imported into T&T, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Farmers Union, Shiraz Khan, says more concern and protection should be had for local farmers. Khan says local farmers are competing with heavily subsidized imported goods. He called for emphasis to be placed on seeing how ducklings and eggs can be produced locally.
