GMTT - Nutrition In Schools

Consultation, collaboration and coordination are what is needed to move the local agricultural sector forward. So says Agricultural Economist Omardath Maharaj on the issue of nutrition in schools.

His sentiments were somewhat echoed by Ramesh Ramsumair of the Tableland Pineapple Farmers Association.

Mr. Ramsumair believes that greater collaboration is needed between entities that affect the sale and production of locally grown foods. And also the inclusion of these foods into the national school feeding programme.
